    Who the hell are you?

I will match wits with you on the Sweet Science anytime or anyplace.

I am the one that coined the phrase, "I have forgotten more about boxing then you will EVER know". by the way. :hey :yep

You should be as sharp at 70. Besides the man retired several years ago with honors.

Don't drink and I don't have a quarrel with you or anyone. Just want people to back up what they say with substance.

............I just did. What I wrote about Foster is all well known. If you choose not to believe it, fine. How convenient for you. If something written doesn't fit your argument, you can always dismiss it with the silver bullet of "you can't believe everything you read."

I'll leave it with this then........if the old axiom is in fact true, and one can really only believe half of what they read, that STILL makes Foster an *******.

The author of this thread tried to portray Foster as a moron. That was unjust. Then you jump on the band wagon by calling a man you don't know an "*******" and a "dick". Hardly seems fair does it. Now if it were Tyson we were talking about. Then you would have something.

.................Now now..........why would you say that? You know Tyson, do you? What did he ever do to you?

He forever damaged the sport I love. What did Foster ever do to damage boxing?

.............One doesn't need to be an asspipe on such a grand scale. I also detest Tyson for a variety of reasons (although I'm afraid I read it all, so it can't be true).

Let me ask you this; if you saw Foster tearing up a picture of Virgil Hill, who has not had a disparaging word for the man, would you not look askance at this?

It is boxing and theater all combined. One man brings a chicken to a pre-fight conference. Another non-Mexican wears Mexican garb into the ring before a fight with a Mexican fighter. One fighter accuses another of not having as much excitement in his 30 plus fights as he did in four rounds of his last fight. IT IS BOXING and theater. One fighter brings a stuffed gorilla to a pre-fight conference. Calls his opponent a gorilla and an Uncle Tom. Another threatens to eat another fighter's kids.

This is not the sport for overly sensitive people.

............And his disparaging of Michael Spinks in the 1980's? That was theater too, despite the fact it was a magazine interview? How's that translate?

Get real. The other examples you give are of active fighters who have the potential to face the person they are going on about. This is a man who has been retired for decades. He has no pragmatic axe to grind. This, then, differs completely from the fight hype drama prevalent in your examples.
