i wonder if they paid him? cuz he just really didnt seem to give a **** he thought he was too cool or way too "big ****" for friday night fights i guess. he was very aloof and seemed very arrogant. he also didn't seem to want to answer most questions and his answers (most of them) were very incoherent

I have got to watch this again. I didn't see anything like this on that night. Did anyone see Joe Fraizer on FNFs? :patsch

Can you imagine Ken Norton, Ron Lyle or Sonny Liston on ESPN?

Just putting things in perspective. He was not getting the respect that he felt he deserved so he rocked the boat to get people talking about him again. It appears to have worked because here we are, talking about him again.

...........He's considered an all-time great by everyone that knows anything about boxing yet he has to go after Virgil Hill, whose own family probably forgets his name at holidays? Not buying that.......

I have a feeling the Virgil Hill is not as upset as you are. Just to have his name mentioned with Bob Foster's was probably one of the biggest moments in his life.

.............Not angry at all. And I bet Hill is thrilled; who wouldn't be? Doesn't answer the question of Foster's transgression.

    Didn't say angry, just upset.

Boxers are not politicians nor are they often tactful or politically correct. Foster is just a tough old fart set in his ways. Nothing wrong with that.

..........Doesn't cost anything to be respectful. Guess that's lost on him, though. Which is why I would want nothing to do with him.

Respect is a funny thing. Everyone wants it but few earn it. Foster earned it.

............Every great earns it. He certainly did in the ring. No argument here. I'm talking about the man. That's what the argument has been about.

You can't seperate the two. The same deep seated charactor that makes the man a ring great, is what makes him the great man he is.

.............I can seperate them inasmuch as while I can respect their skills, I can still think they're a piece of ****. Like here, for example.

Speaking of respect you have mine. You talked without going personal and you made good and valid points. I agree to disagree but I respect your view. Good night!
