Thats outrageous  The story`s of Chacon & Chavalo are very very sad, nobody should have to go thru that stuff, never mind guys like them that gave so much in a good way.
I would have to disagree with you. There are plenty of bums and cowards who box. Some are blessed with phenomenal hand speed and reflexes or just aren't bothered by punches hitting them. Yet, they're still bums and cowards. I, myself, was a just above average boxer. But getting hit just never bothered me one bit. It didn't make me a hero or worthy of anyone's respect. I didn't have to endure through any monumental hardships or anything like that. Just running and training religiously. Nothing really special. Now, there are guys who have gone through momentous travails in their life while being a boxer. Some have prevailed and others simply gave up. Just because you see a few boxers overcome tremendous hardship doesn't mean all fighters are like that. Many of us are decent, hard working individuals, but there are also plenty of petty thieves, misfits and plain no-goods. So, I reserve my right to call certain deserving boxers bums, cowards and a-holes. Not Bobby Chacon though... :good
