what part of essential body fat dont you understand, on average it can range from 2 to 5%, rules are different for each person and everyone has different geneitics therefore these so called guidelines will differ from person to person, there are always extreme cases in everything and if health systems give guidelines which are always saftey first of essential fat being 2% then im sure it is possible that there are people out there who can even go further, anyway even if there wasnt the guideline says 2% so a bf of 2.1% is not going to leave the individual verging on death, now i know that if someone has a low level of bf like this or something similar if they stay at this level for a long period of time then the health risks are going to increase
He would be, you need a certain amount of your essential body fat to protect your internal organs if you dip below that they get effected. I honestly think its anything lower than 8 % and it can **** up your internal organs.
Some BB's capable of getting as low as 4% which are only the elite in this sport, can only do so for VERY short periods of time. And by short i mean hours at best. Its simply unhealthy.
Thats disappointing that there is not an easy and cheap way to measure body fat. Thanks for the replies though.
