Boner celebrating his cheating is going to turn a lot of people off. HBO coddling him didn't help. They should not have even interviewed him after the fight to let the little cheat put on his little show. It played well for the truly stupid and sickened the rest. HBO blew this.
He said on the telecast he didnt want this fight he almost wanted to ask Vicente to do the fight at 135, Okay so the question is why didnt he? Why did he mislead Vicente into thinking this was going to be a fight on even terms sure you have home court your the champ. Sure you get the higher share of the purse your the rising star, however respect the rules of the sport, if you dont make the weight try to honor the agreement dont pack it up and go to lunch. Then when you get another agreement which says you can not weigh more than 140 you ****ing honor that **** as well, what the **** already. He took the fight and bailed early. This was a sham but Escabedo was over the barrel. HBO and GBP would have ****ed him over if he didn't fight. So, yeah, taking an unfair beating on a national broadcast is OK if you get paid enough I guess. Boner's rehearsed antics afterwards should not have been telecast by HBO. They shouldn't have even interviewed the cheat.
Not like Ohio was going to stand up to HBO and GBP. Of course, they don't have much of a history with big fights. Just a few here and there.
