Would have preferred Tony Weeks to ref

After what I saw Bayless do in Floyd/Maidana 2, the preferential treatment was clear to see

He is generally a good red but he also called a bogus KD on Pac in the Mosley fight..

We know what his agenda is, but in this fight it won't matter. Pacquiao isn't a dirty fighter, we won't see rabbit punching, low blows, biting, kneeing, arm twisting or takedowns out of Pacquiao or mayweather.

Tony Weekes called that fight straight down the middle he let BOTH fighters fight their fight. You Floyd fanatics are not used to that you like the way Cortez protected Floyd to the point of blatant bias Kenny Bayless took over the mantle in Maidana II
On May 2 you have Bayless again referee & notice TWO Vegas judges ?? Not taking any risks are they??
Manny has an uphill battle I fear he'll have to KO Floyd twice to get a draw. He'll probably get shafted like Castillo & Maidana did isbut with the world watching everyone will know who the real winner is.
Hope I'm wrong & its a level above board fight with the best man getting the win. If so I'll be the first one to congratulate the winner

But I've no doubt given every opportunity Floyd will grab & clinch like a limpet . He will also use his best weapon that forearm shiver. Wonder if Bayless will call him on those? He never has before

This. Plus he protected mayweather too much in the maidana fight. He is a good referee then, not so much now. Floyd would be delighted that he got bayless once again behind his back.

Those refs prefer accuracy/conservation of aggression/activity. That's the most disturbing aspect. That doesn't mean they're bad. They prefer different things. Mayweather is the type of style they like.

I've said from the beginning that it doesn't matter who refs this fight because stylistically, both guys are mid to close range fighters. Although Mayweather is the better inside fighter of the 2, I just don't see the type of fight that will warrant a lot of intervention from the ref. Only issue I could see is a possible head clash due to opposite stances, but that's about it. Bayless is as good as they come.

Pacquiao isn't an inside fighter anyway, so what difference does it make if Bayless is the ref?

I'd be more worried about Dave Moretti as a judge, he gave Canelo 4 rounds against Mayweather (he won 1), he had Benavidez a 117-111 winner against Herrera and he scored Canelo/Lara to Canelo.

It's not Bayless fault that Marquez knocked Pacquiao out cold and put him to sleep.

The judges are more important than the ref. Let's hope we get 3 fair cards with little contraversy.
