You know very well those were mainly due to his opponent. In DLH, he fought the biggest name in boxing in the world, in Hatton, the biggest name in the UK. 1 + 1 = ??

Who cares? If you are a boxing fan, then you want to see the fight. Bottom line.

Of course he doesn't care about my, or other people's respect for that matter. This is a boxing forum, and I am stating my opinion on why I love the sport. **** the hype and money machines trumping the real fights that actually pit competitor against competitor.

You can save your research on PPV stats- you're preaching to the converted- for myself it's stunts like Floyd fighting in the WWE that make me look to other combat sports (UFC) for a decent battle.

Floyd don't need my respect, that's fine because he doesn't have it by taking these ridiculous offers rather than fighting.

What is most pathetic about this are the fans sense of entitlement.
Mayweather does not need to answer to his fans and critics. He is making 20 million dollars for his participation in WWF. And as he noted, it is a tough sport with a short window of earning potential.
This makes perfect sense financially. :deal

Your exaggerating here a bit. Any big time star would go on WWE. I would rather see him face Cotto as well as others. Arum needs to put an fat offer on the table he can't refuse. Everybody always talking about what they wouldn't do :patsch 20 + mil is a lot of money to turn down, say what u want.

Bull****. We all know WHY they made so much money. Mayweather was a part, but not the main reason. So lets have YOU Not go there. W/O DLH or HAtton, he might get 800K combined for two fights if HE was the main attraction.

How 'bout PBF vs Hillary Clinton dressed as a diva?

Just more WWE balderdash....and PBF's credibility continues to fall.

Shut the **** up. Nobody gave a **** about Oscar anymore until he fought Mayweather then it becomes the most lucrative non-heavyweight fight in history. Nobody gave **** about Hatton outside the UK (did he even have a pay per view fight before Mayweather?) until he fought Mayweather.

All 3 made the fight as big as it was. But the credit goes to the p4p king.
