Bowe showed more heart, courage and resilience in both Bowe fight than Wladimir Clinchko did in his whole career.

It was Golota who was the mental midget. You got the two boxers mixed up you authentic moron.

He was getting his ass kicked twice by a fighter that Lennox stopped in less than 2 minutes.

Bowe doesnt even belong in the same sentence as Lennox. Wlad would alos tap his ass.

    Easy work.

you know things like this will be ignored around here. Truth is of no use to them, because they don't like it. delusion all the way is how they like it.

Well I know for sure the one guy who would be trying to correct the record if it was incorrect would be Bowe himself. Don't you think?

And your so called links referred to a fight they were trying to make two years late. So the only one spouting off urban legends around here is you.

You keep insisting on re-righting history even thought virtually 90% of those who was alive and watching boxing at the time, agree with the fact that Bowe reneged on his commitment to fight Lewis. And the other 10% are simply doing what you're doing, which is trying to re-write history.

How you can keep disputing this is beyond me and it makes you look border-line nuts.

I don't mind arguing who would win the fight, but as to why they didn't fight, that's very well documented.

Getting your ass kicked because you don't have the skills to beat the other guy isn't the attributes of a great boxer. But I will give you that he did show a lot of courage and heart in that ass kicking. Too bad he didn't display a bit more boxing skills to go along with it. But make no mistake, had that been Lewis in the ring, rather than Golota, Bowe would have been KO'd.

In the classic thread debunked opinions with factual evidence. No need to thread over it again. Lewis was playing games. The proof is all there.

Stick to the ballet forum Kratos because youre just making a fool of yourself in boxing. Neither Riddick or Rock Newman shared your opinion.
They both knew that is Bowe got in ring with Lewis again there would be the same result Lewis KO's Bowe. Lennox had Bowe number and Riddick knew it

Were you around back then?? Were you even born??
Well I was and I was right in the thick of things. Lennox kicked Bowes ass in the olympic final. Bowe knew Lennox had his number.
The fight was signed Newman & Bowe renaged on the deal they chickened out. I met Bowe & Newman in Dallas when Bowe was showing off his belts claiming he was champ. I told Newman to his face that Bowe was just a paper champ till he'd fought Lewis. Bowe heard me all he did was sneer & all Newman said was "We got the belts thats all that matters. Why should we risk it all against Lewis when people will buy defences against guys like Dokes & Ferguson where there is no risk"??
Oh Yeah Bowe was the better fighter:patsch:rofl:hi:

At the time Bowe threw in the belt in the garbage, yes he would have beaten Lennox and rather handily. Bowe has all the all around big man skills, Lennox was void of a good jab and was'nt nearly as polished as a pro during that time. It was'nt until a couple of years after he hooked up with Steward that Lennox developed a jab and was made into a cautious first fighter.

However, the defeat to Lennox at the Olympics was in Bowe's head and I think he was afraid to lose to Lennox again.

Looking at it in hindsight, during the 90's, Lennox was the least polished of the 4 best heavyweights that included Holyfield, Tyson, and Bowe.
He was damn lucky he was able to get wins vs Holyfield and Tyson when each were well past there best. Tyson was so declined its not even funny.

The best Heavyweight Lennox ever faced made him retire. Really that simple.

Dadgummit we got yet ANOTHER candidate for the ballet forum in divac :nut
I take it the last comment was regarding Vitali Klitschko?? Well Lennox took on Vitali on 10 days notice while he was overweight & undertrained. He was prepared for a warm up fight not a title defence against the #1 contender. Still he practically took Vitali's face off winning the fight TKO in 6. How in the world can that be making Lennox retire ????? Where do these clowns come from?-(
