With the right guidence at the Tigers, he had the world at his feet. He then lost that guidence when to Souths and is now regarded as the greatest waste of talent in the history if the game. Souths:verysad

I fail to see the similarities with rapists.

They got pelted by chairs and they threw them back. It was wrong to sink to the crowd's level but retaliation is common in human nature.

Mate, if it was just that simple. Retaliation. But they were representative of boxing on national television.
It's not just one more scar on boxing, it another one too many.

Boxing is the loser here, the Elomar boys will go about their business & will be forgotten until they return, but every promotion will carry the image of the mayhem.
The fact that their mates flooded into the ring with an unconscious man on the canvas could well be interpreted to mean the fools who started throwing chairs were doing it in retaliation to the lack of concern for the fallen fighter.

They were the focal point on TV representing boxing. That's why they copped the holiday.

So throwing chairs into the ring was meant to help Kickett was it? The chairs were thrown because a muslim (aka terrorist to plenty of red necks in this country) KOed the crowd favourite. The whole thing was fueled by racism

so the red necks were going for a blackfella, but he got ko'd, then the rednecks forgot they wernt racist and attacked the 'sand ******s'...?

mate you have no idea. in the boxing circles i travel, boxing is one of the least racist sports, and its fans also less racist 'per capita' than the rest of the community.

how about, the crowd made a judgement on what they saw, and just didnt like elomar and his mottley crew? no racism in it. they just saw a mob acting like pricks, and let them know. theres nothing racist about that.

typical of muslims to blame everyone else for their troubles, instead of looking at themselves.

Matey, if you go thru life believing that everyones opinion is based on a single difference, then that's an obsession.
You just can't seem to get past this muslim thing.

If they were Jehovah Witnesses who two out you on a Sunday morning, you might have had a point

The hangers on taunting Kicketts supporters from the ring is what kicked off the ruck, nothing more, nothing less

i think you've summed it up perfectly Phil. The fact that it was a good punch and a shock in the first round was completely forgotten by the sheer number of people who entered the ring to celebrate. they overdid it and that's when things got ugly.
one thing about Australians is that we do love to see some form of sportsmanship and the display put on by some people was a far cry from that. it's like kicking a bloke when he's down. You just don't do it.

I WANT TO know though why is it bad for supporters to jump into the ring whilst the opponent is still down?? is it against the rules?
