I don't know if I'm going to bother watching anymore live Canelo fights. Almost every opponent for the past 10 years generally does the same thing: -Quick jabs. -Lateral movement -High guard -Occasional potshot/flurry to get the judges attention -Wait practically the whole round for a counter letting Canelo win the round simply because he's busier and throwing more. -Clinch -jab, move around, cover up, go into survival mode from about round 5 onwards realizing you can't win. It's tiresome. They give him way too much respect and are terrified of getting countered or hit with something big. If you're scared to get hit, don't fight him! Charlo looked like a guy experiencing his first sparring match and had no clear gameplan, just going through the motions. It was pathetic. Stop trying to use the same old cute defensive strategy hoping to outbox Canelo, it's NOT going to work. You either need to be as slick as oil able to fight off the backfoot with brilliant defense like Mayweather, or you need to step forward and force Canelo to respect you with powerful shots down the middle. You CANNOT beat a well rounded veteran like Canelo with a half assed game plan unsure of yourself. It was so incredibly disappointing seeing guys like Jacobs, Golovkin, Kovalev, etc forgetting they had power just mashing jabs the entire night. If you're not going to try to win, I'm not paying for the fight.
