His toughness is an asset, not a bad thing to him. Margarito relies on 3 things: his stamina, his chin, and his toughness. If you took his toughness away he would be a far worse fighter, so he is NOT too tough for his own good.

That thing you said about Mosley is not true at all. Maybe in his last few fights now that he is shot to pieces. Go back and rewatch a closer to his prime Mosley and you will see what I mean.
I didnt know being bashed around the ring like a rag doll and looking like Bambi on roller skates everytime you get hit clean came under being tough. Being too tough for your own good is having the ability to take huge amounts of punishment and not go down or stop fighting no matter how hard you get hit. Amir does not fall under that category.
