I'm sure I've seen him talk about his mother being 'on drugs' and having no electrricity etc.

    Is this all lies?

Both his mother and father were smoking, and you can tell the rest were pretty ignorant, so I'll bet it wasn't the best upbring.

I think in general alot of fighters claim rougher upbringing than was the case. It is like you are tougher from the ghetto. Ghetto's have smart, dumb, nerdy, cool, criminal, choirboy people just like any other neighbohood. I lived in the projects and bought my primo weed from a rich kid from the burbs.............

    Pavlik.
    Haye
    Dirrell?

To be honest I don't think you're going to find many boxers from well-educated, affluent families because people from families like that don't tend to go into professional sport. But it depends what you mean by rough because a lot of American and European fighters from 'rough' backgrounds had it a lot easier than somebody like Pacquiao or Miranda.

I'm sure one of the dudes from Youngstown can educate us further, but I've never had the impression that that place was too nice. Isn't the average (or median) household income like $20K or something? I wouldn't expect it to be a booming metropolis
