JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR. He tested positive in 2009 against Troy Rowland. He was fined 10,000 dollars and suspended for 7 months. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1456948 --- How did you not know this?
Steroids aren't just "for mass." In fact, in and of themselves, they don't create muscle mass. What they do is alter your neurotransmitters so that you "feel like" working longer & harder. With Boxers, they can make the fighter more aggressive, and better able to take pain. - that's a simplification, but basically correct.
With Jr, the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. Only an idiot would not consider his PED use to be established fact.
Wow I can't believe that was back in 2009 . . . it only seemed like yesterday. I want to think better of the kid but this and the other stuff recently does not look good.
This is what leads me to believe current rumors are true, avoiding tests, bulks up pre-fight like that, come on.
training in the meccah of PED development, the Bay Area, with Roach and Ariza... Doesn't look good, that's for sure. He tested positive once, so to me, he is beyond fair game to regard as a PED user and to be suspicious. (I don't want to even go where I'm about to with this one statement, but I will: the MAJORITY of professional athletes are on illegal PED's and I know this, so I take it for what it is)
He tested positive after his fight with Troy Rowland.. he was banned for 6/7 months. The fight was changed to a no contest.
