I think styles does favour Alvarez in this equation, but apart from the uppercut I literally cannot think of anything he did better. In short, I think Gonzalez is a better fighter than Alvarez and better than anyone Lopez ever met.

He also has the style most likely to trouble Ricardo, in a very broad sense. I don't think Lopez is a very serious favourite at all, and if Gonzalez cut him or hut him badly early, I'm satisfied that Gonzalez would win.

I'm satisfied that you overrate Gonzalez.

I've also seen him fight a good deal more than you, and i'm satisfied that i've worked with those fights in more detail.

Probably. I don't watch scrubs. They disinterest me.

I bet i've done more Lopez, too. In fact, you're a bit fuzzy below 135.

Although I'm not a big fan,I've nothing but respect for Tommy Hearns as he was great at 147 and 154,as well as being a courageous fighter. But at 154,I would pick Mike McCallum to beat Tommy as I believe Mike was far sturdier and simply a harder man,as well as having a higher boxing IQ.

no such thing as unbeatable. Hagler comes close when he was active. All fighters had the achilles heel. Duran could be outboxed. Hagler could be outboxed. Hearns could be outpunched.

That's my thought. A fighter can obviously be unbeatable in a given era at their weight, but across time facing ATGs? No one would manage to win every fight.
