Boxers who committed murder

Henry Flakes was convicted of murder and met his end in teh electric chair.

 

Ron Lyle killed an old prison friend during a New Year's Eve party at Lyle's home (Jan. 1, 1978).

Lyle was arrested on New Year's day.. He was supposed to fight Larry Holmes in March 1978 on ABC. So, Lyle was replaced with Earnie Shavers.

Lyle end up getting out of it as it was determined he was defending himself.

Boogie Nights is one of my favorite movies ever. One of the deleted scenes is him being the hell out of his wife Becky Barnett.

 

Tim Harris, early Julian Jackson opponent who took a bunch of punishment but never touched the canvas. Eventually the referee stopped the bout in the eighth. Harris went on to shoot his wife's divorce attorney, whom he blamed for his financial problems.

Not a boxer, but Don King. Ive read lots of boxers, genuinely tough, hard men, found him a rather terrifying character.

 

The idea that you associate murder with boxing is untasteful. Your next post should be boxers that were murdered... nevermind i lost count.

For a second, I was thinking of the HOF baseball player and wondering why I didn’t know he was a murderer.

 

Your right its not distasteful its actually common for boxers commit violence or become a victim of violence outside the ring. I was faded last night celebrating the 4th and don't remember posting that.

A couple of years ago I read up on murdered boxers and there's hundreds of them.
I made this video and added a few of those boxers.
