I'm not trying to defend anything Lyle did, but I've read the first time he was charged everyone involved was charged with murder. He was one of many there charged with the same crime.

In the same way a getaway driver is charged with bank robbery even if he doesn't go in the bank.

The second time, he actually killed the guy himself.

    Either way, not good.

Reggie Gross. He was a contract killer for gangs.
Anthony Fletcher. He was convicted of murder but has recently been set free and the murder charge was changed to self defense.
Charlie Devil Green went a drug fueled murder spree.

For The Wire fans, the main guy that Omar was based on was Donnie Andrews (who appeared on the show as one of Butchie’s guys).

Reggie Gross and Donnie Andrews committed a murder together, and that’s when Donnie got locked up.

Don Jordan claimed to have been a contract killer for the mob, using his favored bow and arrow. I wonder if that was ever investigated or questioned or did law enforcement just roll their eyes.

Kassim Ouma is potentially number one although I’m not sure how culpable a child soldier is.

Idi Amin probably is number one if he meets the bar for being a boxer. He was apparently the 175 champ of Uganda.
