To be fair to Mr Android (1) you see pretty much the same thing whenever you watch a fight and (2) I didn't even notice the avatar as I was reading the comments.
Also, his avatars are pretty funny. The previous De La Hoya one was pretty disturbing in a fkd up funny way..

By far watch the story of Jose Lopez vs Isidro Garcia. Garcia was on the card just to see the fight and was eating on the casino area and received a call to fight on that card against Jose Lopez because His opponent Montiel was dizzy, He agree after a few negotiations and in te same night He fought and won the fight that was for a vacant belt at that time.

Prime Vitaly stops Lewis. Lewis was not even in the fight until the cut came. I know the chances of a thumbing any fighter and cutting them are slim to none. Vitaly wins 99 times out of 100 times the one times is from a freak injury.

Going back a bit, but Willie Pastrano was a replacement for a replacement when he beat Harold Johnson for the Light-Heavyweight title in 1963. Mauro Mina was supposed to be Johnson's challenger, but was injured in training. Henry Hank was given the fight, but the same thing happened. So Pastrano came in and won a surprise decision (not quite sure how much notice he had, though).

Steve Robinson won the vacant WBO Featherweight title against John Davison on seriously short notice (3 or 4 days, if memory serves).
