Honestly the title tricked me a bit.. I thought it was who runs the most in a boxing ring, until I read the opening post. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
I'm about to go run now. Caught this thread at just the right time. Pure inspiration to stay consistent. Anyway... Old school boxing legends prided themselves on work ethic and conditioning in eras where most of the knowledge surrounding modern sports science didn't exist. Bob Fitzsimmons was a serious runner. Jim Jeffries was also an avid wrestler and did it to supplement his boxing conditioning regimen. And the guy in my avatar was an avid swimmer, rower, and baseball player. He took his conditioning very, very seriously and has done several interviews on his thought process behind it. There are many fighters today who found success in the sport as a result of having a similar work ethic.
My man Tito never gassed in a fight . Not from what I remember . He hunted and stalked his prey for all 36 minutes of a fight with ease . That is if they even lasted that long .
