Larry Holmes rarely was seen with a six-pack but his stomach was solid as hell, Mike Weaver said hitting Larry in the gut was a complete waste of movement lol.
Yes this is it:yep If you ever carried excess weight for any length of time it is pretty damn hard to get ripped like others.. Diet and genetics also come into play... Also anyone that has always stayed in shape dont have to do as much to maintain their physique... I know this from expeience.. Also Holyfield even said in an interview once that he only does a couple hundred Situps,Crunches a day, most people would have to do alot more than that do achieve his six pack... But in his early training days he did well over a thousand As for Arreola well he has been over weight since he became a heavy.. But as 19 year old he won the LH National Golden gloves and he looked like a toothpick, very similar physique to Kelly Pavlik.
It is genetics.. Im not saying its impossible for these people but, its definitely triall and error of doing differnet exercises or diets... Just like having big arms or chest is genetics.. Some have hughe arms and chest and dont have to do as much.. I know some who take every kind of protein different routines and still struggle.. I know from experience as ive been lifting off and on for over 20 years, and also use to box and make weight... Some guys without the six pack or cuts have the most stamina, but you wouldnt know it... Diaz prime example in his prime threw a zillion punches a round and one of the best conditioned, although looking at him you would never know it.. Arreola has even showed better conditioning than most hws despite not looking the part.. Joe Fraizer was another one. Ive always had huge guns and chest even when not working out.. yet when i was making weight and boxing i couldnt get a full six pack.. Im always being asked advice on getting huge arms and ii dont have any secret... When i ask about cuts or getting ripped its always something ive tried or heard a million times.
