It was my first peep at him but he did look good. Tough draw getting Dumatov that early.

    Upcoming rematches:

    • Khalokov vs. Senior, kicking off tomorrow's event in a men's 57kg semifinal. Khalokov beat Senior by UD in May of last year.
    • Li vs. Parker, women's 75kg semifinal. Li beat Parker via UD in Olympic qualifiers in 2020 (went on to win silver, losing the final to Lauren Price)
    • Ngamba vs. Bylon, the other women's 75kg semifinal. Ngamba defeated Bylon via UD in January at the World Boxing Cup GB Open in the finals.
    • Bennama vs. Dusmatov, men's 51kg finals. Bennama lost via KO1 in the IBA World Championships Finals last year.

Muydinkhujaev vs. Verde and Jalolov vs. Ghadfa have both been scheduled to happen before, but ended in Walkovers (with the smaller Uzbek losing and the larger winning essentially by forfeiture).

The rest of what's booked will be first instance matchups.

Should he advance into the finals, Khalokov will be facing a previously vanquished opponent either way (Uulu having lost to him via both UD and stoppage, and Ibáñez Díaz via MD). Likewise, if Caitlin Parker gets past Qian Li she could face an old rival in Athena Bylon; they've split a pair. If both of them lose, however, we get a rematch between Li and Cindy Ngamba. In the Grand Prix in the Czech Republic earlier this summer Li beat Ngamba via SD.

Glass half full outlook: you've saved the best for last. :D

Most of the Finals are still to come in the next three days.

    You only missed Women's 60kg yesterday, and Men's 63.5kg and 80kg today.

Still ten divisions to be settled.

Or Stade de France if you're tuning into the Women's hurdles.

Mclaughlin what a babe, just set a new WR for the 400m.

Sean David Grande* and Mikaela Mayer on the call again.

Seems there was a torch passing midway into the Games, the coed British tandem giving way to American counterparts for English language boxing coverage.

*btw, @Drew101, ever since you said "O'Grady" a few days ago I've been wondering just who the heck the guy is. Knew it wasn't the fighter Sean O'Grady' voice, though it would be awesome if he were doing it.
