I don't think I follow. Weren't there federal investigations on the involvement of the mob in boxing where boxers testified to having taken dives? If that's what they want you to believe then was boxing a fully clean sport where the boxers who took the stand were just excusing their losses? Carnera, Ike Williams, LaMotta, Liston, Gans and McGovern, were all explicated with the mob in some way, even SRR said he declined to dive. Hell, Daniel Kinahan has been funding fights as recently as last year.
