If a plodder like Abraham could make Ward respect his jab, then Golovkin will definitely at least land some good enough jabs, which we know-so far at 160-is arguably his most effective weapon.

Do you want Ward/Golovkin to happen before Ward moves up? yes or no?

Imagine this place if their fight would get announced.. Everybody would be excited.

Respect? Ward damn near shut Abraham out.:deal I gave him 2 rounds in that fight. Now I can admit GGG will be a much harder fight for Ward than Abraham would be as GGG is much more complete and better.

I would rather Golovkin clear up at 160 first.

I would rather see a Ward v Kovalev fight.

I don't see the need for the rush for a Ward v GGG fight. And I'm not a hater I'm a fan of both fighters.

I'm not talking about that. There were a few jabs that Arthur landed that I could tell not really hurt Ward but made him weary so to speak. I'm not saying Ward is easy to hit but he's not quite the defensive wizard people make him out to be. That's in no way demeaning him as a fighter because he is what he is; there's no need to discuss how good he is. I just think if and hopefully when GGG and Ward fight, Golovkin will hit him with some good shots, particularly the right uppercut which I feel will be his most important punch, which is a very good punch when he decides to throw it.

    :rofl

well he has to at least start before he can clear anything up.

he holds 1 of 3 WBA titles and you still have the WBC, WBO and IBF

good luck with clearing up 160 before hes 40

You are the type of poster I cannot get my head around.

I mean according to you Golovkin hasn't fought anyone, not achieved anything, isn't the true champion yet he needs to move up and fight a guy who we all know is the true number 1 in a division he has never fought at.

    You're a joke.

ODLH became even bigger after he left Arum.
Mayweather exploded after he left Arum. If he were still with Arum, he wouldn't be the highest paid boxer and like Pac would be in all kinds of debt.

Ward isn't going with Arum. He is going with his mentor, Hopkins.
You must have mistakenly fell into this site because you definitely aren't a boxing fan.

Of course they are hesitant, they are smart businessmen. Timing is everything in business, the timing of when you launch a product can be the difference between success and failure, or at least the difference between profits and big profits. Likewise, every fight has its time. You don't want to make it too soon and you don't want to make it too late. It's too soon for Ward-Golovkin.

Ward is inactive and not nearly as popular as they would want him before a GGG fight. Even GGG needs to gain more popularity through the Geale fight and maybe a unification fight or two. Hell, Ward-Golovkin is not even a PPV fight at this stage. Both men have advancing to do in viewership ratings before it should be made. Ward needs to come back, make a couple good fights, GGG would have 2-3 good fights too, and then it would be about time for Ward-Golovkin on PPV, assuming GGG and Ward both won their fights.

I think the Ward fight will happen, maybe mid to late next year, and I'm really looking forward to it.

How? You think Oscar did all those PPV buys with PBF by himself.

LOL. Having a jab that's effective against BUMs, STIFFs, No Hopers, TOMATO CANs and NEVER WEREs isn't exactly what I'd call impressive...

Yeah, that's why Mayweather's lawsuit against him accused Arum of penny pinching and failing to market him properly.
Ironic that over a decade later Bi-Polar Bob validates his stinginess during a childish tantrum he threw at the MGM regarding Mayweather's superior marketing campaigns.

Prior to DLH Mayweather was a big name after he beat DLH he became a megastar.

Mayweather never had the cross over appeal that DLH had, plus he is totally devoid of a personality and charisma.
