Here's some really good news. Yahoo put a "new guy" like Bradley on its front page.

Oh yea and the reason I was looking for this thread is because Pacquiao was on PTI giving an interview, and Pacquiao was also number 1 in the yahoo trending now section.

Floyd, is the main reason boxing is back in the mainstream. Just take a look at his last 4 fights and Pacman is the second reason and the best fighting the best helps too.

Ok, update on TV ratings. ESPN's Friday Night Fights are doing really well. I don't have the exact numbers but I know that fights are doing 100-200 K more this year than in previous years.

Also, stumbling around the web I came across Chavez Jr.'s fight with Lyell earlier this month on Top Rank Live scored 400,000 viewers and it ranked number 1 in the spanish cable networks.

Bump bump. Yet again, on twitter and google "Canelo" is/was the number 1 trending topic. Number 2 is/was "Saul Alvarez"

Also, Alvarez-Hatton was the 2nd biggest attendence in Honda Center history.

A bit off topic, but at the Staples Center Mosley-Margarito was the biggest attendance ever at Staples. Just thought I would throw that out there as well since the location is in So. Cal.

Tonight's robbery of De Leon will hurt boxing, was too many criminal decisions! Shame on Oscar's judges!

Eh, not really. If it was the main event I would agree, but it was the undercard and most people forget what happened 15 minutes ago and Alvarez-Hatton was entertaining enough and people are talking about it on the web. Obviously, robberies are never good, but in this case it's not too bad.

Heard that Alvarez' fight last night got about 80 million viewers in Mexico....on average he usually only gets 60 million viewers, which is about what the Mexican national football (soccer) team gets.

    :good

He is big in Mexico as they are really looking for the next big super star not just a good mexican, but one of the greatest they have their hopes on him.

I hope that transition to USA and HBO picks him up as they have already invested in him because they will broadcast 4 of his fights this year, many people will be invited by his good lucks charisma, and skills he brings to the game.

The 80 million for the fight I heard from a spanish station I was watching last night. I believe it was televisa deportes. And the 60 million he usually gets on average is from various articles a little while back. I'll get you a link here in a second.

80 million viewers out of 107 million people? That would make it bigger then the super bowl here.
