That's true, a lot of the remainder have Hulu or YouTube TV which function almost exactly the same. Not a lot of them have DAZN. ESPN+ is fairly popular but my implication is that I think boxing is on wobbly legs there. I don't think Disney wants boxing on its ledger, whatever dollars it brings isn't worth the agita their PR execs feel waiting for a guy to die or become a vegetable live on Top Rank. Like Showtime, they may continue PPVs for a while longer, but I think inertia is the only thing keeping boxing on ESPN and that won't last forever.
What I really wanted to say is - I don't know the moment of my death. Just like anyone else, including forum members. So I stated:
I kinda figured that's what you were getting at when I first saw it, glad to have confirmation that's all it was Now onto the next issue... I actually don't even remember posting that. Huh, weird... Must've posted that when I was on hold on the phone or something.
Bad, imo. What we are seeing is a dying sport gasping for air, imo. The sport relies on networks, and until I see a good road ahead as far as networks go, I find it hard to believe the sport can be in a good place. Showtime is now out. Rumors are ESPN will be out in 2025. That leaves the entire sport in north america relying on what, DAZN? The sport isnt going to survive on the back of influencer boxing PPVs. Some network is going to have to step up for boxing to not sink further into obscurity.
