Hey All-Going to Scotland and Ireland for a while and looking for any boxing clubs to visit and possibly spar in. Thoughts? Appreciate any help
Am or Pro? Fighting scots gym in scotland for the pros in ireland am no to sure john breens gym in northern ireland would b the gym there for the pros!
thanks man! yeah, to be honest it'd be am. i'm certainly no boxer but love visiting clubs, I train at my gym but have VERY little actual training. just love to chance to box with some quality fighterss and do some sparring
Bellahouston Amateur Boxing Club in Glasgow is decent. I've also been to the Osprey club in Clydebank. There's no sparring there usually but the training is good, and it's only £3 a session. A very old school gym. http://www.bellahoustonabc.com/ http://www.ospreyabc.co.uk/
the dennistoun mc nair gym in Ruchazie is by far the best am gym in glasgow, couple of pound a training session with very good coaches in attendance.
crumlin boxing club in dublin is full of top ams and a couple of pros also st saviours in inner city dublin
you cant just walk into these places and ask for a spar especially as this guy sounds like your basic novice, in saviours he would be pointed to the door im afraid, their just isnt enough time during the day to accomadate guys like that, he should try clubs with less of a rep than saviours crumlin and arbour hill, roddy collins old place would have been ideal open to everyone but he shut it down
