If she hired a convicted violent felon as her bodyguard and then that bodyguard perpetrated a violent assault on someone durring the time when he was guarding her, she may be liable.

All the parties who lost money in this thing are going to go after whoever they think can be made to pay. If you are Bashir's lawyers, you are going to go after the guy who hit you, his employer (Clarrisa), perhaps the venue for not having better security, ...

All the parties out money are going to play rough. They have legal teams. They will want their money.

If you think the sucker punch was rough, wait for the lawsuits to fly.

That is some serious reaching there dude. Unless Shields orchestrated the attack herself she cannot he held liable.

You must not be familiar with the legal system in the United States. While she probably cannot be held criminally liable, civil suits are a totally different matter.

I’m no criminal defense lawyer but I am familiar. She cannot be held criminally liable, and a civil suit against her in this case is unlikely. We’ll see though.

I agree about the criminal part.

I think the civil lawsuits will fly though. Serious people and serious money involved. The various parties will want their money. They are not going to want to take those hits to their bottom line.

If you think the participants were viscous, watch the lawyers and accountants fighting over the money.

Basir will probably file a civil suit. Long term physical damage. Medical Bill's. Lost income. Pain and suffering.

Pretty sure that will all be coming.

    Why wouldnt that happen?

Shield can be held liable in a civil suit. It was her team that gave the backstage pass. Inviting short fuse idiot that had no business with the fight is on Shields team.

I am not saying that I think she should be held liable by the way. But the US legal system is pretty sh*tty at times and people have been sued for much less.

Early reports said the felonious brother was Clarrisa's bodyguard. If she employed a violent felon on parole to participate in the super charged, highly emotional and violent world of professional prize fighting she can be held civilly liable.

You can expect an argument like that to be made in a civil suite.

Apparently Bashir is taken back to the hospital due to brain bleeding.

That Shields team is nothing but a pack of wild thugs.
