Na, not really. It definately has some good fights but you will never see anything like Berto Collazo in MMA.

people have beens saying that since the late 80´s,boxing will never die.

boxing is doing weel despite the division that usually gets more atention being pretty weak.

Great upset but not exactly a great fight by any means. If you didn't realize the significance of what you saw last night it was actually a pretty boring fight, ****ing brutal as all hell but kinda boring.

As far is it always being bigger than MMA I woulnd't say always and at least in the states I think it is getting pretty close.

A faded 37 year old fighter should not be taking out todays best with ease - it hints that the quality out there, compared to lesser years, just is not there anymore.

I'm a big MMA fan as well, but boxing is and always will be my first love. Honestly, I think MMA might be at it's peak right now. The reason being, Dana White's stranglehold will eventually be released and UFC will experience some of the same problems boxing does. People fail to realize how much of UFC's growth is due to ownership. If Boxing had one organization that was pretty much contracted with 90% of the fighters, could dictate the fights and had to pay as little as $250,000 a fight to even the best fighters, imagine what we would have.

I respect your opinion, but like I said in an earlier thread, I really hope he didn't attempt anything illegal, cause it could taint boxing a little. We'll see, it could be true or just a dirty little tactic in the part of mosley's camp used to distract Marg.

this isn't going to taint boxing. It won't get enough coverage to hurt at all.

If someone got busted fixing fights that would be another story.

Of course it cant be exact. Boxing is all about striking. While MMA focuses on all aspects of fighting, also with smaller gloves and longer rounds. KOs come quicker and so does exhaustion.

I've watched a lot of the UFC shows that come on Setanta overhere, ive saw plenty MMA on youtube, more than enough to form an opinion that its not that great, i find it boring as f*ck, i dont keep up with the names its not worthy of doing so.

It will never be in Boxing league, deal with it, its leagues below, glad you enjoy it though!!

I think things of this matter could and do effect boxing as far as the mainstream goes. I had many people that absolutely don't follow boxing, but just happened to be watching espn, texting about Marg's wraps. Of course to the layman, with the reputation that boxing already has as being corrupt, this doesn't give them much faith. For example the MMA fan.

Of course but it does has as exciting fights.

Check out Liddell vs Overseem or Baroni vs Ikushia or something. Lot of stand up and trading.
