I've noticed this week that boxing has had quite a bit more coverage on the TV. Obviously on terestrial channels a lot of this was with regards to Haye/Valuev but i've noticed Sky have started reporting on other stuff too. I realise a lot of this is probably the fallout from Haye's fight but this morning they are promoting the Cotto/Pacquiao fight a hell of a lot more than they usually do for a non-PPV and they have also done a report on the Hatton (Fat Head) fight. Plus they showed the Double Knockdown :happy I hope this continues :good
Yep, it's great. Everyone has been talking about boxing recently. I've had loads of texts off my mates asking me about it. I had one saying that Berto looks good. Things are picking up. Lets hope we get some terrestrial TV action.
I noticed last Saturday that 5 Live reported the result of the Sexton v Rogan fight too which they usually wouldn't go near. I suspect that it was only to link into the Haye fight but good to hear those names on a 'sports' bulletin.
Sam Matterface is just inept. THE worst presenter in SSN history - his fiance isn't much better either - though she looks the part :yep I have tried to get off Sky's case in the past few months, they have improved.... albeit from absolute rock bottom this time last year - but still work to be done.
