Let’s not forget everyone. “It’s only the price of a pizza and few beers”. Hope the snobby middle class do struggle after this with comments like that.

Out of interest, what do you mean 'when it meant something?'

You know someone who's on benefits and managed to save a few grand? How is that even possible?

They get there rent and council tax paid and get a free car and several hundred pound a week in benefits. There single too. Its unbelievable i know someone else on benefits who can afford 3 or 4 nice holidays abroad each year, is in there mid-fifties and has worked for 1 week in their life amd that was casual work. Im not defending the culture but its out their in a big way.

Wow! They must be claiming for numerous things cause that's definitely not what you get if you are just claiming for the basics. I know a few similar people who are part of that culture. A guy I used to be friends with lost his job when he was 21, sacked for conduct. He's now 34 and has been on benefits that whole time! He volunteered for a week in a charity shop but that was too much for him, claims his anxiety stops him from working but it's total BS.
The system is there to be used, not abused. Jokers.

People like that I actually feel sorry for to be a man and have no ambition or motivation to better yourself in life , you would rather coast through life being lazy bone idol piece of **** ! I don’t know how anyone can be content with that, I would rather work 70 hours a week which I do on a regular basis and be able to provide and enjoy and look to improve and have better things in life

I wonder if the big money for fights will still be available in Saudi?

Reckon the economy will get back on track tbh. Most people keeping their jobs. New jobs will be created to make up for the jobs lost giving time. The economys pretty solid in that it would take something bigger than this to destroy it for years to come.

The big problem will be paying the money back but with some smart accounting pretty sure it,s doable. Dont think they,ll try to pay it back straight away...will try to get the economy strong again before attempting it.

Id say he means when it meant something to him personally

When you dont care as much such an achievement will mean a great deal less to an individual

If and when they start having fights behind closed doors they will have to get their income from elsewhere.Besides getting money from the tv companies the answer is even more expensive pay per view shows. But promoters beware who can afford fights at a frequent rate of £25 or even more?

That is the new home of Matchroom Boxthing and The Humbled One - the arrris falling out of the oil market will hit all parts of the world and hopefully Saudi big time.

The accumulated Saudi wealth still there but the rainy day has arrived for them.

Sly's big issue is to stabilise the customer base who were leaving in big numbers before this crisis.

People left because they were unhappy paying large subscriptions for much less sport including boxing.

The sports offering will have to significantly improve or the Broadcaster will be left with a much smaller customer base going forward.

Oh they do one of them even gets terminal illness for an issue in their head that will technically kill them one day but that could be in hundreds of years if they lived that long. Lived 20 odd years with it no issues. In Glasgow people who claim for everything normally put it on to get valium eg of doctors and then sell their prescriptions too.

I get what you are saying. But one pals normal routine is to get up have breakfast have a wee stroll to shop get a paper and goes home, chill, watches tv has lunch then goes to gym for 2-3 hours a day, getting their with his free bus pass. Goes home his missus turns up and makes his dinner and they spend night together. When pubs are open he has 3 nights out per week and 3-4 nice holidays abroad a year. Im like you i like grafting but some days whe ive meet him for a pint on a friday and im ****ed from work and hear his relaxing week i do on occassion get jealous. Put it this way i once had a business and had 20 odd staff and i was bumped for a big invoice and the same guy lent me £6000 so i could keep the business going. I know with benefits and by selling his prescription he gets £400-450 a week, has no kids to pay for, no rent, no council tax no transport costs so is comfortable. Funnily enough my cousins his pal too and my cousin is a builder and he had a really bad week at work once and went pub seen our pal, was telling him and our pal was winding him up, saying he gets paid more for sitting on his ase and my cousin was daft for grafting and my cuz chinned him.

Yes I can totally understand that mate , we’re all different I suppose , but I love more than nothing making money so I can do a certain thing . I.e new car or a trip to Vegas . I just wouldn’t be content with not really having the option to do that being on benefits.
