Well, clinching and holding is not legal, the refs usually - but unfortunately not always - break up those situations if the fighters can't work their way out... I mean there's not much to do IMO, a guy can lose a point for holding too much anyway. But there's a solution for that: another point I couldn't add to the poll: unified and very strict rules for referees and judges how to handle situations and EXACTLY how to score a round... sometimes, in close fights, there are no rounds that all judges scored in favor of one fighter and that's crazy... it's their job and sometimes they don't have a clue what to do like when someone loses a point, the other guy gets knocked down in the same round - now what to write down?
No alphabet sanctioning bodies. And with that would go the stupid international and intercontinental titles that Sports Network fighters always seem to go for.
Um... I've never though about Witter to put on the poll. But let's be serious, if you have any opinion or just want to vote, don't hesitate!

Pretty much all of the above, But more boxing on free tv, and earlier start times, **** i live in Vegas the main event starts sometimes at 9pm at night that would be midnight back East, WHAT THE **** IS THAT??? maybe they should just think about starting the fights on Sunday morning..
more boxing purist calling the fights and less guys who just want to see knockouts. boxing has strayed away from what boxing is all about ... knockouts should be considered a treat for boxing fans. I see more and more boxing fans basing a fighters status on how exciting he is rather than skill. more boxers are getting pub based on how exciting they are ... not on the skill they don't posses. I think there should be an emphasis on fundamentals and overall boxing skill. more appreciation for boxers and less appreciation for guys who just hit and hit back. Its more than a fight ... its an organized sport ... boxing has become more and 1 than ever ... yeah guys run and it looks gay at times but people forget that this is a fight and the number 1 rule is to hit and not get hit, protect yourself at all times ...
get rid of all these sanctioning bodies ... back in the day there was only one champ -- it took alot more to get a title shot than just beating a guy who used to have a title. back in the day there was no dispute who the HW champion was it was the one with the belt ... get rid of all these fake titles (p4p, undisputed, unified, and lineal) have all the sanctions get together and come up with a big conglomerate and have 1 sanction. the title of being the "champion" ... and have everyone else be contenders ... it would create more seperation between actual champions and pretenders & contenders.
back in the early late 50's and 60's there was only one champ ... everyone was a threat and no particular person was above all contenders, but the champion.
no more PPV get more kids into it by earlier start times also veary little on cable no more boxing diffrent boxing organisations less weights better undercards fighters shouldnt have to be built up so much only one official computer ratings less title stripings fighter should be credited more for who they fought and less than the numbers on their record show more amuter boxingdo all this and boxing will return to its greatest golden era:thumbsup
In a dream world : -No PPV fights and all of them on regular cable. -Only one belt to win in every weight class. -Less weight classes....no more super featherweight; light welterweight; light middleweight; super middleweight and cruiserweight. -Official weigh-ins on fight day, only like 8-10 hours before the fight but.... there would be a mandatory weigh-in the day before and the fighters wouldn't be allowed to have to lose more than 2 pounds for the official weigh-in ! -Champions are forced to fight at least every 3 months against the next best contender or they are stripped of their belt.
