I dont see what the big deal is with the BN complaints.

£60 over 6 months is hardly breaking the bank, i was willing to take the hit and if that make me a mug then so be it.

We've had Cotto-Margarito (good), getting Vitali-Chisora (yes its a given, but still worth watching) and a poor Cleverley fight announced.

To me all i need is at least 2 more decent competitive world title match ups from any one of Sauerland / GBP / Lou DiBella to justify my £60 outlay, its not exactly impossible with roughly 4 months of my initial subsciption left.

    Patience is a virtue folks!

Why are people glad they didn't subscribe? As sg85 said, £60 isn't going to kill you.

They've got to fund their **** off these subscriptions and the less we demand, the more likely we'll get less fights till it get's to the point where they scrap it.

Whether or not it's 2 cards every week or whatever, it's still decent.

In most peoples opinions, its not the cost of £10 a month. Its the principle. Why should we pay extra for this? Why if were paying extra should you just get 1 good fight a month and a weeekly magazine show?

I know Bunce has gone on record and said if you dont buy, your not a real fan. Nonsense

We pay extra for sky, ppv, premier and now BN. Its just another way of minimizing the potential global appeal.

  5. Good enough for me.

when sky sports first started there own brand 20 years ago, did they put everyone on a guilt trip and say sign up to this and in 6 months it will be amazing or did they speculate to acumulate, invest first and get a reward after!

we shouldnt be the ones investing in box nation it should be the promotion company behind it and if they couldnt speculate to accumulate, then they should have stuck with sky sports.

Like i have said in previous posts, if box nation gets a few smaller, up and coming promotions on box nation, i will be bang on it! that would be the image of box nation, even if its just one thursday a week, showing a small hall fight, with say 5 fights on a show, only has to be low budget, but it would do more to support the sport, give young fighters a platform, then lets not forget, if a young fighter in his 3rd fight is on a small hall show advertisers all over facebook that hes going to be fighting on television, how many of his family and friends are going to subscribe to the channel, then times that by the 10 fighters taking part in the show, the promoter advertising it 'LIVE ON BOX NATION'

just showing your own promotion label fighters stinks of arrogance, and its not a boxing channel at all, its a frank ****** promotion channel.

Im glad because its only FWP fighters and those fighters are rarely matched good so the chances of getting a good fight are slim.

Yes the International fights might help but not enough for me to spend extra £10 a month, I can see boxing on sky as part of my subscription without having to pay extra so I have the enjoyment of all sports spread across more than one channel and in HD / 3D.

I signed up fopr Setanta when that came out and that wasnt just boxing (Failed)

I signed up for ESPN as it shows MMA / UFC and that is worth £10 a month as you also get other sports and the UFC events are usually good match ups.

I honestly believe there arent enough hardcore fans for a pure boxing channel to work, prior to and still now its just repeats after repeats, I know your only really paying for the main 1 a week but you cant just keep showing the same **** all the time over and over again.

  8. The economy is slightly different to when it was 20 years ago. Also the market itself is a lot different. Sky Sports had huge financial backing too.

You have pay a tenner a month so you can watch Sky in more than one room but it's too much for a boxing channel?

Tenner a month to have a few of the channels you already pay for in HD too.

like i say, they should have stuck with sky then, if i start a business on little budget and limited ideas, like box nation has then its not gonna kick off.

For me to be interested in bumping my virgin media package from 75 to 85 quid a month id want a few extra interesting shows on, i was all for boxnation before hand, but its basically just an advert for FW promotions.

If i was frank I would be straight on the phone to the likes of David Coldwell, Spencer Fearon, Dennis Hobson (and thats just from my area) and other good promoters. and get more of a variety of shows.

I would also like to see a show what goes around the country at gyms, doing interviews with fighters and trainers, grassroots level of the sport! send an ex boxer out there who the public love, in my view someone like jamie moore would be ideal.

There is plenty more fresh ideas out there FW Fighter A vs euro challenger once a month, a bunch hour special and replaying the clev vs bellew fight 100 times a week (as good as it was) doesnt live up to the image i see when i read 'box nation'

No one truly knows. But a promoter whos been in the game for 30 years and had plenty of success along the way thinks the channel can be a success.I'll take his opinion over the experts on here for now.
