The main event is the 4-round pro debut of 2x Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming.

    Three championship bouts are included:

Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. vs. Yasutaka Ishimoto (**, former world champ against domestic operator who failed to acquire so much as the Japanese title)

Rocky Martinez vs. Diego Magdaleno (****, someone's 0 under the Top Rank banner has gotta go!)

Brian Viloria vs. Juan Francisco Estrada (**, one of the p4p kings against a guy coming off a loss challenging a division south)

Per Twitter, BoxNation will have it from 2:30pm GMT/10:30pm local time in Macau - indicating that it will indeed be live coverage.

Here in the states, we're getting it on 4-hour tape delay on HBO2 at 2:30pm EST/6:30pm GMT/2:30am Macau.

I'm wondering about the legitimacy of the claim tweeted, however. Nothing is up on the BN website schedule regarding April 6th. Furthermore, this was a late acquisition for the channel which often means they're piggybacking off another country's feed. In this case that makes no sense as no live coverage was planned for any carrier AFAIK. Not only is American TV showing it on tape delay, but the Filipino audience tuning in for Viloria will have to wait until Sunday morning.

  2. I don't care as long as it's on
Rocky fight good scrap and viloria needs more coverage, far east produces very good fighters who go under the radar here
Didn't bunce tweet thats it's on,and boxnation regularly announce late

There's only 7 hours difference between UK and Macau mate.

Good news if true. Which twitter account?

    Eight, no?

edit: ah, I see. You've now caught up to us with your version of "Summer Time" having begun on Sunday. We started Daylight Savings in early March, so for a time US EST and UK time zones were only a four hour split instead of the usual five. Now it's all sorted. (it would be much less confusing if we both switched at the same time rather than weeks apart :conf - or, you know, we could all keep the clocks the same all year round! :nut)

OK, so 2:30pm GMT = 9:30pm Macau and 9:30am EST. Got it.

Bunce tweeted yesterday that they were looking at getting it I'm sure. Don't think they have officially got it yet, but hopefully they will

Yeah, basically HK and Macau don't change their clocks at any point in the year.

It'd be good if BN picked it up, can't be too expensive as I imagine they're the only UK bidders.

Looking forward to it, especially Viloria and Rocky/Magdaleno :good

    Here is the bout sheet.

So you're only getting the final three bouts, then, if BN coverage starts from 9:30pm local time.

Shame, because WV2 is fun to watch (even in a mismatch) and Seran vs. Melindo could be nice with those archipelago nations from either side of the South China Sea having developed a bit of a boxing rivalry. There's also the Penalosa lads against a pair of Thai patsies.

I had a feeling they would show Viloria and Martinez

It's so asinine they have Shiming as top of the bill.

I get it, he is the draw and national hero in the country hosting, but FFS it's a 4-round debut. Where else would they do that? It's a gaudy and over-indulgent move, IMO. Disrespectful to Viloria and Martinez as world champions, when Shiming hasn't accomplished a jot in the pros yet. (and may not ever, being that his talents were already flagging in the amateurs of late and he didn't honestly deserve that 2nd gold...not to mention his style was never going to be as easy a transition as someone like a Lomachenko)

I hope he gets KTFO. War Valenzuela! :yep Take that, Chinese!

I thought Maciel was still getting a run out against a TBA after Vanes' injury?

Nope. They apparently couldn't find anyone to fly to China and face The Beast on short notice.

But was still hoping to see him get a fight.

If only they threw him in with Shiming. (he could boil down easy......)

Its gonna be weird seeing 7/8 fights with no one fighting over the weight of 130lbs! (yeah yeah I know they weigh more in the ring...but still)

You're not going to. You're going to see 3 bouts, total.
