Boxxer - best in the UK?

I can add that Boxxer has 2 good announcements coming up in the near future.

 

Matchroom has not had an impressive start to 2024 and the boxingshow this saturday does not look good.

Frank Warren is clearly No. 1 right now in the U.K. and I can't help but admire how, with little financial means, he has managed to get several boxers into position for big fights. It is skillful promoter work !

 

When the advert for this popped up on my social media feed i genuinely thought it was just displaying the 'before the bell' section of a card.

I almost spat my coffee out when i realised that was the actual full card! 33 year old next gen! Complete waste of time of a card

Even the seat filler sites wont be able to give these away

 

I was just thinking the same this morning. Hearn used to be good at the same thing in the Sky heyday - getting Brits into world title shots or even wins, Warren did it via the WBO back in the day. Can you imagine the current Boxxer or Matchroom managing to place Dubois into a world title fight not long after losing his biggest fight?

GBM Sports show on friday (live on talksport´s Youtube channel) is better than Matchroom´s show.

 

The Parsons interviews are actually getting worse

 

Absolutely no doubt there's been a financial arrangement there, especially with IFL in the early days. There shouldn't need to be one now given the traffic but there is lots of travel to pay for, so who knows.

I don't mind their shows/cards. Went to Chamberlain-Lawal and Buatsi-Azeez and enjoyed both. They just need a bit of time to develop their fighters into main attractions. I wouldn't say they are leading the UK boxing scene at the moment, but with the likes of Whittaker and Azim coming through, the future is bright for them.

 

What's everyone's thoughts on their card this weekend? Don't want to just sound like I'm being harsh for the sake of it but it is abysmal even for them. Think I'll be watching Frank's card instead.

Is this the show with one half of the olympic couple in a title fight? Think I'll give it a swerve...
