I wouldn't expect him to be in fighting shape as a retired fighter after spending his life in a gym. Glad to see him happy and hope it remains that way.
Well to be fair, he's probably been depressed most of his life. I think life after boxing is just adding to it (possibly). But, I'd say most athletes deal with a difficult transition to life after sports. Especially the top ones like Tyson who held the spotlight for many years. Can't be easy.
He does appear to be a bit rotund. I haven't seen a recent photo of Buster Douglas, but I bet he's rather large as well. Riddick Bowe, too.
Ah well its his life,he looks happy, good luck to him,i bet he could lose it quicker then most overweight people
If they weren't, they sure as hell are now. They better get used to their new names too if they don't want to end up in the basement.
Good GOD he has packed it on. That coat is the size of a circus tent. But, as has been said, after many years of strick dieting and denying himself what he wanted to eat, its understandable how a fighter can go the other way, when the training regime is finally over, for good. But Tyson seems to be taking livin it up, a bit too far. He and Shannon Briggs need to join the WWE. They could be quite the big beefy tag team.
