I agree with those saying that Pitt needs to prove something! I also agree that oganov won the fight and it was the ref that helped Pitt. Pitt looked like a shithouse club fighter, i dont think he will ever do anything at all on the world scene!

 

Listen, how can you not comprehend that if not for that ref, Oganov would have been stopped in that fight. Vic took a knee after a punch. The ref didn't put a count on. The ref gave him over half a minute to recover.

Going by your logic, Pitt got stopped in the 3rd but Oganov got stopped in the 2nd. Who's the winner, Einstein?

I agree, but everyone seems to be ignoring the first favour of the night that went to Vic.

The ref was incompetent, plain and simple. Pitt shouldn't be copping **** over it, given that had the ref acted as he should have in the 2nd, we may not have been subjected to what followed.

Maybe Anton can fill us in on the rule that should've been applied when Vic took a knee in the 2nd.

 

There was no FIRST FAVOUR that went to VIC. He was thumbed in the eye, ref thought it was a headbut. I could understand your point IF vic was hit by a solid punch then took a knee but this just is not the case. HE is hit with a combo and contuines to come onto pitt, Pitt then throws a wild uppercut and missing however his thumb catches Oganov in the eye.

a thumb or butt in the eye is a foul and as such a fighter is permitted 5 min to recover if NEEDED. look at victors eye after that round and its obvise he can barely see out of the eye, the ref didnt tell him he could have 5 min now did he? so what favor are you talking about? you cant count a bloke if he is down due to a foul, thats basic boxing rules numb nuts, dont need Anton to tell you that now do you?

when should a count be applied.........
if any part of a boxers body touches the canvas other than the souls of his feet his he is deemed to be down and a mandanary count to 8 should be given if the boxer is unable to continue at the count of 8 the count is to be continued to ten and Ko decison is to be given or the refferee has the right to waved the fight off.....and the boxer loses the bout by way of KO or tko .....this rule does not apply if the referee see,s that the boxer received a inteninal foul there fore no count will be inplied and a deduction of point or points will be taken from the boxer who has committed the intentinal foul..

the boxer who has received the intentional foul can be given upto five minute to recover....

so the discusion of what should of happened in the second round was infact a count should have been inplied ..(end of story)after the refferee assist vic to his feet.(this should never of happened)..and turn your volume up the ref ask vic is he ok he say NO so therefore .fights over ....KO or tko (end of story ) so there is no favour to brad pitt or his team...and we are not cheats
the refferee did not see a intentional foul from pitt so no points deducted ....therefore he assisted who ...wasnt pitt thats for sure......

the incedent with the count to pitt after he was hit back of head .again ......no count what so ever should have been inplied as it was aa intentianal foul ..pure and simple........(end of story ) the refferee cautions viv for doing so........

look we trainers dont like to get on these forums as there is too manny so called experts ....those who have done nothing within the sport to be respected for or their opinions to be respected nor do they contribute to the sport to be respected except ...bag those who continue to work within the industries .....we are aware this is a public forum ...(cool) we read it too and enjoy it sometimes ...but there is a point that should not be over stepped.....

it does go over the top here on occassion, mostly, and i can only speak for myself, its a 'gee up'. but sometimes i see things that arent right.

the pitt/oganov fight was a disgrace. it wasnt the boxers fault, it was the ref. he did however, like it or not, pander to pitt, by refusing to warn brad of his illegal tactics...

in my opinion, oganov did enough to deserve a rematch, as there is controversey about the ref having created a different result than what may have been. im not the only one who feels this way. there are quite a few posters who think oganov was hard done by.

i'll also state that i doubt that there is collusion between refs and boxers. but we are all human, and i imagine a ref may be 'sympathetic' towards a boxer, for one reason or another. it doesnt have to be corruption. the ref might just like the 'cut' of the bloke, see an aussie do well, or think one boxer or another has a better future than another....etc..

And we all know he got it because you harrassed the referee, there is a HUGE contrast to when Oganov gets thumbed and Pitts hit to the back of the head. One is clearly showing signs of an injury caused by a foul and time is needed, the other one has said he is fine to contuine and the refree basicly tells him, "YOU HAVE 5 MIN" when Pitt said he was fine to contuine, the refreees duty is to contuine the fight, not play favoritism and do what he did. Its not upto the corner if he gets 5 min, its upto the fighter, in this case Pitt stated he was fine to contuine. You coincidently left that part out of your bullsht explination... funny that :nut

You were given favour in the Foley fight and the Pitt fight, everyone whos got two eyes can see that, you know it but cant admit it because the belt tightens then and you get no more favors. Exposing fights like these two is a good thing and will ensure it dont happen to other fighters again, both officals should be sacked. You seem to be more upset about your name involved than what the officals have done.

I promise you all this much, if this occured to Lincons fighters no one would hear the end of it. Whats good for the gooose is good for the gander. The first time I met Linc was at a card in Kalgoorlie and I mentioned a certain nitwit who was bagging him on these boards.
