I thought it would've been easy for Ty to just quote the section of the rules he's basing his position on.

First he said it was either a headbutt or a thumb. Then he says it wasn't a headbutt but rather a thumb from a wild uppercut. And then he dribbles on about Oganov being entitled to a 5 min recovery.

Why doesn't Ty just post a link to the Regulations which refers to a thumb from a wild uppercut being an unintentional foul and the recipient being entitled to 5 mins? Look at all the effort Ty goes to when he posts stillshots and a running commentary in an effort to discredit another fighter/trainer yet he doesn't want to do something as simple as post a link to the rules.

The onus is on Ty to prove what he's saying is correct. I know he can't and so does he.

It was ruled a headbut anyhow even if it was a thumb. Your trying to tell me that an unintentional headbut doesnt deserve no rest but a slap to the back of the head requires a 5 min break in your corner, a massage and hand job?

I dont need to quote the rules, ive shown you WT fights that have had unintentional fouls commited and the fighter is on his knee, he isnt counted and on the rare occasion that a fighter has been counted after a unintentional foul was commited the fight has been ruled a NC, as it was with Hopkins V Dawson.

I said it was either a headbutt or a thumb, i personally thought it was a thumb but the ref rulled it an accidental headbut, either way an accidental foul that causes an injury to the boxer entitles him to 5 min to recover otherwise the ref wouldnt have given pitt 5 min for his massage and handjob after being slapped in the back of the head.

Show me the rules since you seem to know so much about them. While your at it, show us all the part in which a ref is permitted to STOP a 10 count to pick up a mouthguard! clutching at straws here when you know the big picture is Pitt got his ass handed to him and ref saved him.

How about this ... everyone who has been carrying on about how Oganov was hard done by quote the rules and sections that they are relying on. There's been a lot of whinging on here and calls for rematches based on an incorrect and inadequate understanding of the rules.

Gosh this is confusing, Pitt won convincingly in the end yeah, Victor Oganov threw in the towel? Did Vic put a knee on the mat constituting a count.....I dont know professional rules very well but i would have thought that if a foul is not called and a fighter takes a knee after a shot he should be counted. Likewise when Pitt was clubbed behind the ear he shouldn't have been given a count......the ref was very messy here no wonder evryone is confused. You would think at least a rematch would be ordered. This being said, I woulnd't like to see Oganov take Brad Pitt on for a second time. Its hard to believe posters here are calling for it. The rematch would likely end in same fashion if not worse for Victor and personally this is not what I want to see in boxing matchups. Time for everyone to agree that the refereing was really ordinary and let the fighters get on with it.
