    That's the point I'm making if you train as hard as TIM you need protein to rebuild the muscle fibers. 45 grams a day? I can tell you don't weight lift. Thanks for your comment anyway

    From what I read, the average person really only needs about 45-55 grams per day. He said 65% of his diet is complex carbs...breads, whole grain pasta, fruits, vegetables, beans...and all that has to be fueling the energy for his high intensity workouts. He's probably not building any new muscle, just maintaining what he already has.

    Look at gorillas...they don't eat anything but plants and fruit all day, and are pretty damned stong...

    Timmy said he put on some muscle and right now he is losing some weight.
    He only needs enough protein to maintain his physique.

    Not trying to equate gorillas with us, as chimps are more similar...just using it as an example. Gorilla genetics are different.

    I have a friend who's a personal trainer and vegan...and she's very well put together...thick from eating rabbit food all day, go figure...
