bradly loss to berto in the ams, i think it would be great fight.bradley can make 147 and still how his same ****.he always sayed it was easier for him to fight bigger guys then smaller guys.
That's not what everyone is arguing about, But Berto is a WW with fast hand and some pop in his punch. Bradley is a JrWW. I'd say they are about equal in terms of tests, but again, Berto at least had that at his weight. For the record, I would LOVE to be proven wrong by Bradley. If he jumps to 147, I wish him the best of luck.
BigReg... its not that i DONT think that Bradley can probably go to 147 and be competetive.... But IMO, the guy is PERFECT at 140 (doesnt he REGULARLY come in well under?) I dont get this craze over fighters moving out of their best weights just to seek fights.... ya, nobody is going to turn down MEGAfights against Mosley, Mayweather or Pac.... thats simply common sense 101, but anything other then that is simply pointless There is a difference if your outgrowing your weight, or are towards the end of your career and you want to push yourself to the limits, or if youve been conquering and ruling your division for awhile, and having exhausted your competition, seek new weights for new challenges (although, personally, i tend to miss the days where fighters would keep a weight on lockdown and rule there) but braldey HASNT conquered 140 yet (not saying he is not the clear number 1 however) Valero Maidana Khan JMM Hatton Alex Urango Malignaggi are all fights waiting for him in HIS DIVISION..... ya he could move up and fight a megafight, only because you just dont pass on 'once in a lifetime' fights like the type a mosley, pac, or mayweather would be, but the guy should stay at 140.... logic dictates he will be further at a disadvantage at welter being outsized, and he doesnt have the speed or power of pac or the once in a generation defensive abilities of a mayweather or spinks, certain attributes that help in higher weight classes. 140 is where bradley should be, and its where he as a fighter will be at his best..... IMO.... unless its a 'once in a lifetime' type fight, id stay away from 147. its not that i think he CANT, its just i think he should just stay at his own division.... whats the point of fighting bigger guys like berto, clottey, collazo.... in a weight class he shouldnt be at? Hes got Valero, Khan, Maidana, JMM, Ortiz, Alex and many others starting to heat his division up.... he needs to stay there and put in work.
Based on his frame. yeah. He's already short and stocky and built like a truck. I think if he tried to get any bigger, it'll hinder his ability. that's not to say he can't beat some second tier WW's. I would just not put him in there with the top guys.
IMO he should just beat everyone at his weight and there are a good bit to face before considering it, but if he does berto maybe his best bet at a "top" WW
Bradley can be something special at 140. Lots of good fights to me made. Word is possibly a fight w/ Valero!!
would be toss up bradley boxing ability edge berto power edge match up young super stars would be what boxing needs
Berto's gotta get by Quintana first but yes, that would be a hell of a fight. He'll need to win both of these if he wants to get a shot at the REAL big money in matchups with Mayweather or Pacquiao before they retire.
