Theres NOTHING Soto brings to the table that Miguel Acosta didnt bring.... except a better chin. Which will only mean he'll take more of a beating.

Jesus Christ! Soto is so overrated.

Why do people think he can beat Rios, when HE doesnt even think he can beat Rios?

Not explosive on SOtos part... Hes maybe an average puncher at LW and a little overrated,, He gets by on Experience, grit, solid skills... One of those guys who isnt all that impressive at anything but solid all around.. Except for his strength,,he was better at JL and Fw... At Lw hes just barely scraped by some good but hardly spectacular comp. Antillion,D Diaz gave him problems.. And the other guys he beat were either average or Has beens.. His best win was way back at Fw vs young Rocky Juarez.. Hes built hs streak on Past it fighters Jesus Chavez,Diaz(somewhat) or 2nd tier top 20 guys Bobby Pacquiao,Gamal Diaz,ANtono Davis,.. And was decisevely beat by the the by the 1 eiltie guy he fought.

Rios is in his prime and has looked pwerful, dangerous in doing so... Beat up undefeated Anthony Peterson in his first big bout,.. Peterson was favored and was considered a legit contender, Rios beat him easy and was playing with him towards the end when Peterson dq himself, he was ready to knock hom out. Also Acosta was better than anyone SOt has beaten.. And id probably pick him to beat an aging Soto,. Acosta bigger, stronger, fraster, harder hitting than Soto,... Rios passed his first tought test against quality foe... And Antillion well we saw that he was pretty much SOtos equal in their fight. And Rios finished him in 3.

Rios is nonly gona improve.. and SOto fade.. At best If Soto uses all his wits and experience hed trouble Rios early and wins ome rounds but my the mid point RIos is taking over and walking down SOto,,, Sotos tough and crafty so he hangs on a few roudss.. But he cnat hold Rios off him and Rios has underrated skills.. Rios Tko 10

Oh yeah MIguel Vasquez would be a much tougher fight for Rios.

  3. Soto is moving up because he is having problems making weight. Him leaving TR has nothing to do with avoiding Rios. It had to do with Soto becoming a free agent because he was getting screwed out of money.

Get your facts straight before you spew bull****.

  4. I never claimed Soto would beat Rios. I simply am stating that I don't think it would be a whitewash in Rios' favor. Not sure why you're getting so bent out of shape over it.

Rios by KO.. remember soto started his career at feather.. so his max weight mayber 140. while Rios is too big to be a lightweight. Rios will only get real challenge at 140 or 147.

Soto would probably outbox Rios early but the pressure would wear him down and Rios stops him late. Pretty similar to the Acosta fight.

Damn it, i wish JMM wasnt fighting Pacman this november..Yeah, he deserves the payday and all that, but Him vs Rios at 135lbs would be the greatest fight in a long ass time, im sure of it. Very great, great , great clash of styles.

I would lean Soto. Soto has very underrated boxing ability and is very tough. I can't really see Rios stopping Soto so I think this one would go to the scorecards.

While this is true, theres a big chance JMM will be pretty much done after a fight with Pacman...Now is the best time to make a Rios-Marquez fight.

    Yea... Pretty Much

This is along the lines I was thinking.. But who is Soto gonna fight at 140, I don't think he has the goods to compete with the boxer in that weight class or the power to bang with the bombers of that Division.. his best fight might be with Devon Alexander...

    Rios by KO.

And Soto knows it thats why hes doing whatever he can to avoid Rios.
