    Is Rios "world champion".

Khan getting KOed by a nobody is the reason why some think Rios has a chance.
Acosta has a glass jaw he got dropped and hurt the first time by a jab.
Also many people thought maidana beat Kotelnik who is rated higher than both urbana antillon and paulus moses.

the boxing world does not revolve around amir khan.

in my opnion rios is a world champ, he beat the number 1 ranked fighter in the division, something maidana nor khan have done yet.

btw pacquiao got knocked out by nobodies too.

i'm talking 154. By the time he's at 154 in around 5 years, khan will be war torn, as Rios, and he could stop him in 5:deal it would be a shot fest :yep

look i'm not saying rios will definitely beat khan, if i was a gambling man i would put money on a khan decision but its stupid to compare maidana to rios as apart from being latino they are nothing alike, they fight in 2 different styles, i haven't seen khan take on anyone with rios' style that stays on your chest and makes you fight every second of a round, who knows he might excel, he might not but in my opinion if he isn't knocked out/stopped of exhaustion he will win a ud, take it for what its worth.

You may be right I feel Rios depends on being bigger and stronger than his opponents and at 140 that size advantage wont be as much. It remains to be seen how he would adjust then.

Also if Khan hits him with the body shot he would lose by KO.

rios comes in the ring at 153ish, thats big for a light welterweight, cotto at 147 came into the ring at 154, so he'll always have that advantage unless he moves up to 147.

also khan has never stopped anyone with a body shot and rios has been down from body shots early in his career, things have changed alot since then.

He would be huge for a light welter but the advantage wont be as big as it would be against a lightweight.

I meant the body shot he hit Maidana with in the 1st.
