    No he wasnt

He was in Fedor's guard, Fedor rolled for an armbar and Rogers slipped his out and fell on him, facing the wrong way I might add

I remember fatty Roda sitting on top of him landing thunderous thuds to Fedors face

Maybe full mount was wrong, but when fatty Roga hits you flush like that your not gonna remain conscious for long

And you could tell from Fedors reaction he was real shaken. Roga hits like a mule

    No he wasnt

He bloodied his nose early, hit him a couple of times before the aforementioned armbar attempt, and held on for dear life with double underhooks against the cage. Fedor had trouble with how strong Rogers is, but he was never in any real danger of losing that fight tbh You need to rewatch that fight fella I think

Yeah, how well Rogers did in that fight has been really exaggerated. Some people still say that he won round one, which is just straight up wrong.

He massacred Fedor in round 1. Broke his nose. Squashed him against the cage. And sat on him landing heavy heavy shots

Fedor won the fight with a hail mary

Up to that point he was getting beaten up

    Yes, he....

Hmmm well if you three are all saying the same thing, i concede im probably slightly possibly a little bit in the wrong. Strange though, i still see the fight in my head and Fedors getting beaten up

He won the first round, but massacred is very strong way of describing it.

No sir. Rogers won about six seconds of the first, in total.

Id say he has a stronger case than that personally, but it was a closer round I think. The striking was about 50/50 for me, broke his nose, reversed Fedor from half guard iirc, controlled him against the cage landing a couple decent knee's, landed a few heavy shots form guard in the brief time he was in there then slipped out of the armbar attempt, escaped Fedor's barrage against the cage without taking a clean shot

I wont disagree if you thought Fedor won the round, I may agree with you when I get time to rewatch the fight when I get home. But 6 seconds is harsh, very harsh if my memory serves me correctly

    It may be harsh.

But I really don't recall him doing a whole lot offensively. Avoiding subs and getting away from flurries doesn't win rounds. He busted up Fedor nose with the first jab of the fight, and landed 3 or 4 solid GnP shots. He also pinned him on the cage for a couple of seconds. That was the extent of his offense. Fedor rocked him pretty good in one of the standup exchanges, took him down multiple times, and was pretty much always looking for subs.

It has been a long as time since I've seen the fight, though. Just going off memory.

I just watched it, and Id give the round to Fedor aswell. Id completely forgotten about the very solid left Fedor landed to initiate the 2nd TD, and both men landed some decent gnp, but Fedor took the round from there on in with the sub attempt, some heavy punches and top control.

EDIT: Just seen your post Rob and your memory is much better than mine, as I said I forgot about the left that rocked Rogers, was all Fedor from there on

    Here's the link anyway

Brett Rogers is big, strong and powerful but technically disgusting. Post Fedor he had a chance to really dedicate himself and improve and build off of it but nothing changed apart from the words.
