    Magee tried his best, but was like rabbit at headlights. Not world level, but a good gatekeeper in reality, althoygh he is a ex 'world champ'.

    He actually said that for this fight they changed his excercise regiment, and he has beaten all the physical stats records he se going into the Cazlaghe fight.

    So, on paper he was in the best shape of his life for this fight.

    His eyes are now perfect again, and he is better than ever.

    Some people think they can wish him over the hill.... they cant and at only 33 he has the best years ahead of him.

    He said that during their latest monthly phone chat, he advised Mikkel, "Look, if there's nothing doing early for openings up top, drop a right to the body. I remember him being susceptible to it..."

    That's not rocket science that Magee doesn't like body punches though. They surely had that in the strategy long before they spoke on the phone yesterday.

    Being in Joe Calzaghe's Shadow and losing his one shot at getting out of it against Andre Ward has done Carl in mentally. Everything that he thinks could possibly get him a "point" he will harp on.
