Not a good opponent but then again I think Haye had set his sights on an easy payday against Browne. Obviously that's gone out the window and here's the replacement. Briggs does have an inexplicably high ranking with the WBA though so it prob won't be too long before we see this mismatch come to fruition.
Briggs as stated above and by Frank W arren....he likely wouldn't get licensed in the UK....he perhaps should apply for his licence then knows if he's wasting his time or not!
I know from a previous IFL youtube vid when Haye was interviewed by Cougan that Briggs WAS ONE OF HIS POSSIBLE NEXT OPPONENTS this was only a few weeks ago so as some talks had been exchanged behind the scenes with Briggs camp then it does make me wonder if this is all a set up for the next Haye fight. He might have had Haye tell him to come down n do your lets go champ thing at his press conference to prepare the way for his 3rd comeback fight. Still...can Shannon get a BBOC UK licence ?
Haye probably took a page from Wlad's playbook, throw him some money to pull these stunts just to generate buzz while fighting someone nobody has interest in
