I have a sneaking suspicion Deontay will "reinjure" his hand in the Molina fight after seeing that performance from Sasha. Then he'll be out "indefinitely".
Wilder, if he gets by in his next fight, will be granted a series of exceptions enabling him to avoid his mandatory obligation for at least 1-2 years. :smoke
He won't need to be doing **** like this. He'll go after Povetkin b4 2016 ends barring an injury. He wants to fight 4x this year. 2 more after Molina. :deal
I didn't see Povetkin today, but I have never been particularly big on him, despite the praise he receives from many here (including many posters whose opinions I respect a great deal). On the flip-side, I'm not very big on Wilder either, although he far exceeded my expectations against Stiverne and exhibited more veteran like maturity than I was expecting from him. All the same, if they can exploit political loopholes to push back certain fights for the time being (such as Povetkin), than they should. Because his team did him no favors the way they brought him up. He's not equipped with the type of experience he should have now considering his level/experience ledgers.
Povetkin-Wlad in Ukraine would start a World War 3 :nono But yeah I can see Wilder fighting a couple of average opponents after Molina then Haymon will decide whether to cash him out against Wlad or Povetkin When Haymon saw Wlad-Jennings did over 1.7 mil views on HBO his tranny eyes probably went crazy. Wlad-Wilder on free TV ala NBC/CBS/ESPN would do double that, can you say 4 million views? You CAN'T ask for a better exposure of PBC to sports fans.
It is so true, I agree with everything you've said. But people are already making claims that Wilder will dump his title into the trashcan like Bowe did against Lewis. I don't think he will. The dude knows that this is a golden opportunity to make money.
If he's fighting two more times this year wouldn't he be fighting Povetkin next after Molina? Sounds like you're agreeing with Rumsfeld that he'll dodge Povetkin for possibly his next 2-5 fights.
