I am absolutely knackered mate, but what an evening of boxing; there were stopages all over the shop, and what about Barrera's reception....awesome:scaredas: I wasn't in much condition to do anything after the fight (it had been planes, trains and automobiles all day to get down there) so I just went back to the hotel bar to have a few. A great night of boxing, but with some shocking results (Enzo Calzaghe must have been as suicidal as some of the Man Utd fans from earlier in the day:smooch)
Even if he retires he's had a good (not great) career and made quite bit of cash. I think he's done pretty well with the cards he's been dealt.
I had you down for an old ****er like me. You post quite a lot in the Classic forum....not that that means bugger all obviously!!
yeh i love my old boxing, i watch alot of the old stuff and like it better. nah im abit younger than you but it must mean im mature
Yeah maybe so - but he wanted to unify Crusierweight titles - but it looks unlikely now. I think he is disheartened after that and even if he was on the top of his game and wan - Frank Warren is not delievering for him anymore - so this KO loss as well may spell the end of the dream for Enzo Macc.
Sounds like you had a good 'un have you been to many big fights before? It was an unbelievable night really, Cook,Enzo.....**** 'I' was starting to worry for Khan.:hey I feel sorryfor Enzo he's had a **** 2008/09 United:scaredas::dead
I go to everything within Northern Ireland (saw Khan here a couple of years ago at the Kings Hall), but due to the expense I haven't been a big bill in England, Scotland or the States in about five years. It was well worth the hassle though this time; some really good fights; but it was a bit anti-climatic at the end with the cuts stoppage. Overall, can complain. A great night of action, but with the shine slightly taken off by a few uneducated footie fans who didn't have a clue what they were watching and shouting out any old crap that came into their heads. One of them was arrested by the police, which was quite hilarious.
A bit. Three went upstairs to get beers, and only two came back. One said: "Jeff shouldn't have told that copper to go **** himself" (I wonder if it was Jeff Thomas:think). The other said: "He was asking for it. The guy was a ****." They then passed text messages back and forth with who I can only assume was the unfortunate Jeff, who was either sitting outside or in a jail cell (he was either arrested or just kicked out - I didn't ask them). I don't even think they knew what they were watching when the main event actually kicked off - they were that wasted.
