    Yes.

You did the same in the all-time heavyweights with Frazier, Rob. When I asked you why he was so high on your list you said because he's your favourite.

    I think you'll struggle Rob.

    Good luck though.

Mayweather's career kinda tailed off after the first Castillo fight..... sure he won more titles but he wasn't as complete a fighter and didn't fight the best opposition that was out there.

The only black mark on Hopkins from 2000 to 2009 is the losses to Taylor.

Its not just about wins. Hopkins has 3 losses and a draw in that period. Floyd may have faced sum duds but nobody close to the level of Enrique Orelius and Roy Jones Jnr coming off a 1st round KO. Beyond the 5 I also think Mayweather has more depth. Many accuse Mayweather of inactivity, they have had the same amount of fights (17) in the 10 year period.

    without rankings them 12345

    Mayweather
    vs
    Corrales
    Castillo 2
    De La Hoya
    Hatton
    Mosley

    Hopkins
    vs
    Trinidad
    De La Hoya
    Tarver
    Wright
    Pavlik

Now in terms of names and opponent level I think they are on a par. They have the same number of stoppages. Mayweather can be accused of making Hatton come up in weight, all but Tarver were fighting outside of there natural weight division. Mosley was coming off a long layoff but Tarver had not been active either, all be it not as bad as Mosley. The common opponent in De La Hoya, Hopkins has the better result but I think Mayweather faced a better version.

Of course Rob, it would be down to how you score the Calzaghe fight, I think it was very close, so both men get a certain degree of kudos from me :good

Your list is your list mate, you've obviously got your reasons :good

Not a big enough body of work compared to the other guys on that list. I could make an argument for him to be in the Top 10 but he's just outside mine.

Kudos, I mentioned that in an earlier post in this thread that his lack of defences to add quality depth can be held against him in terms of breaking the 10-5 category.I just thought you might have a soft spot for him:good

I have mate, he was in his pomp when I was starting to get into boxing so I'll always have a soft spot for him. I certainly think he was good enough to get on the list if his career had of taken another path but with those lists I start at #1, work back and I ran out of numbers before I could stop thinking of fighters more deserving.
