I got 9/2 on Collingwood top scoring for England..... looking good now Pietersen has just gifted his wicket away.

I've got £30 on South Africa to win this game. Knew there was no way England win 2 in a row.

    What you get, 4/6?

England's bowling was just shocking, Broad and Wright got the wickets but were the worst of them.... dropping Trott down the order was ****ing stupid as well, especially as Wrigh plays full balls better, which are a cert at the end.

The Saffies have fielded really well, a couple of good catches.

Yeah but they needed to get off to a great start to cut the run rate down which is why they tried Wright. If he'd have got 50 they'd have been in the game. When Wright got out the run-rate required was down to 6.8.

I think your bet on Collywobbles is safe. No way any of these are getting past him, they'll hit and get out.

I see Mohammad Asif is back in action. Glad to see him back as long as he is clean. Awesome bowler, good for the game.

Shame it was only £3 :-(

I bet if you put a tenner on him top scoring every time, over the course of the year you would be even at worst.

Why are the daft ****s hitting singles? They need a boundary or two an over and singles every other ball

What would be your test World XI's?

I will have a think and post in a bit.

The main bone of contention is the second opening spot alongside Smith, who has really impressed me in the past two years.

Are you talking English conditions, or sub-continent.... the teams would be different!

Hurray, powerplay taken. The obvious time is the ball change, it was one reason why the Aussies hammered us here.

All conditions. That's what a test player is all about. I don't think the conditions anywhere are too taxing, the best players are the best players IMO!

Smith is one of my openers too.

    I differ slightly

    Smith
    Gambhir
    Ponting

I rate Gambhir the last few years. A lot scored on the sub-continent admittedly, but a lot of cricket is played in the sub-continent...also I think he has good technique.

Thought it was worth a try, meh.

    Okay.....

    Smith
    Strauss/Gayle
    Ponting
    Jayawardene
    Chanderpaul
    Dhoni
    Vettori
    Johnson
    Steyn
    Asif
    Mendis

    Thoughts.....

Some of those picks were pretty tough, I was toying with Sangakkara and Boucher rather than Dhoni, and Siddle/Hilfenhaus rather than Asif.

    ODI's?

    Gayle,Sehwag or Gambhir

I wouldn't have a problem with any of them.Smith would be the cert though.

    Numbers 4/5 and 6 you got Sangakarra,Jayawardene,Pietersen,Yuvraj,Samaweera,Tendulkar,Chanderpaul,Yousuf,Clarke maybe?Anyone missing?

Two years ago Hussey would have been first name on the sheet. Not anymore
