Warren is throwing Degale in at the deep end to see if he is the real deal

Degale is costing Frank lots of money so he needs to find out if he is worth it

Sounds about right, I mean think about it, when your best chances in the fight, is to try and exploit De Gale's composure by ruffing him up on the inside, making it a dirty fight to see if you can shake him outta his rhythm, then it lets you know who holds the advantages stylistically.

Smith's best shot, is that De Gale might not have the metal composure to fight under pressure, as he has never had to before, not as a pro anyway.

De Gale being cocky, might aid Smith in that process, especially if De Gale assumes he's just going to have it his own way, that everything is going to flow smoothly for him, therefore he might not be mentally prepared to suck it up if he gets cut, is not getting any favours from the ref when Smith is being dirty inside.

With all that said, its seems like clutching at straws, De Gale should win this.

De Gale for me is the slight favourite , simply because Paul has looked at best average against average opponents who IMO De Gale would have no problems with

Degale's odds are merited, he is the overwhelming favourite.

It is a step up in class very quickly, but a step up I expect Degale to prove he can handle.

He needs to be stepped up quickly to maintain his hunger for the game, otherwise his motivation may slip and he may end up losing to a lesser fighter...Degale is a character that is vulnerable to a loss in motivation, if he does not get the challenges he needs at the right time, and if moved along too slowly. A step in the right direction and well managed decision.

he may be favoured that much now but expect a lot of late money going on smith. i personally dont think degale can go 12 rounds without getting into a tear up with smith and if smith is on his game, he will take him out!

expect the odds to be closer on fightnight so anyone who fancies smith, get your money on NOW!!! :deal

    DeGale is NOT elusive enough!!!
