its their own tax - i suppose tax is the wrong word. they basically take 60% of your money

Wow thats all good, over here $10000 or more they make you fill out a for and they send it to the goverment and at the end of the year you pay tax on your winning's that's in Las Vages.

Then if your going to wager larger amount of money you better spliting it up with several bookmakers so you don't get that so called tax.

It's only exchanges (like betfair) which take a cut of your profits. A lot of the time the odds work out better to bet on the exchange, rather than with bookmakers, even with them taking a % of your profits. I think the standard rate on betfair is 5%.

The real value to be had over here is to get on when the bookmakers first put the odds up I think. For example Betfred initially priced up Matthysse at 2/1 against Morales a couple of months back.

the difference between a bookmaker and an exchange is that on an exchange you are betting against other bettors. betfair take 5% of everyones winnings but the odds are usually better as wallet said. however when they start taking 60% that is too much

That's not really an issue for me at this moment in time.

Glad I didn't put much on Montiel in the end, I was about to have 200 on it but didn't bother. He messed my accumulator bet though. Montiel must be done.

Messed up my double with JCC Jr. In retrospect 2/1 for JCC Jr by stoppage was good enough on its own.
