why does it matter how long it lasts as logn as the fights are good? If i had told you after Froch vs Taylor that his next two fights would be Dirrell in October in Nottingham, Kessler in Denmark in April then Abraham in September you would have been happy with it.

serious anyone that complains about the Super 6 is a moron. Nobody has 3 fights in 8 months.

    Spot on :good

Im not sure why the S6 isnt popular among boxing fans. 6 top boxers in the division going at it in consecutive fights. And what makes its better is that there is an obvious opponent for the winner to face (Bute so long as he keeps winning) when the tournament comes to an end. Not sure whats not to like really.

Ths Super 6 is a failure.......and its ****. You need Face these facts you ****ing tit....!

What's it done for the sport, asides from afew good match ups...? Boxing is always gonna have good matcn ups, boo ****ing who...!

The SuperSixx was meant to bring, massive audiences and attention back to boxing world wide, but its been a failure on the world stage.

Tournaments don't really work in boxing anymore, if they last 50 years.

Wasn't the super 6 meant to save boxing..? who gives a **** about it in the UK..?

It dose'nt get any media attention, Carl Froch hoped to become a household name from the super 6.

    None of this has happened.

David Haye alone by himself, has created more world wide attention and press than the whole super 6 concept.

The Super 6 is aload of ****, Green should not be in it...and Jermaine Taylor should of still been fighting on........

Why dont tournaments work in boxing?

What's it done for the sport- has it not brought 6 top 10 SMWs together to prove who is ultimately the best in the division. It also has left out a very good fighter (bute) whom the winner will logically face...whats wrong with that?

'it doesnt get any media attention'- sky are hardly going to say 'ooh theres a great fight on Primetime 2night' are they? And i believe most people on here were talking about it all last week in the build up to Green/Ward.

All this critisism from some1 that was desperate to see Haye fight Harrison rather than K2 seems a little odd :huh

the Primetime thing is one of the reasons that Super 6 isnt looked upon as good as it COULD be in the UK.

If Froch was part of the SKY media machine like Haye, then he would be hyped to the moon. He would be on every sky program possible (Soccer AM, Darts, Sky News, A league of there own etc) and this would be mentioned all the time, as well as the other 5 guys being hyped to the moon.

When Haye was on Setanta, sky did not acknowledge him and neither did 90% of the UK! This was even when he had a fight ARRANGED with Klitschko. Now he has fought Valuev and Ruiz....hardly amazing fighters but SKY MARKET IT correctly.

Thats why this COULD work, if Sky got on board and put its huge hype machine in motion (You could see the picture of the 6 guys with the caption "Britains NEXT big thing"), you could have weekly shows at each guys gym, meet them at home etc....before you know it these guys are household names.

    • Boxing is getting less and less attention from the general public.
    • Boxing is loosing grass root fans to MMA.
    • Boxing is hardly ever available on TV, its not very assessable anymore. Even us hardcore boxing have to fight and graft for illegal streams.
What's the SuperSixx done..? yes that's right **** all.

Oh and Audley Harrison vs David Haye will get more attention than the Super 6 in the UK..............so will Haye vs K - Brothers.

So what's the Super 6 done..?

Who cares weather people are talking about it on Eastside Boxing, its a ****ing boxing site....people will talk here.

    You stupid tit...

But are people talking about it on the street..? No......no one cares, Carl Froch is still a ****ing "No Mark".....he is still a ****ing "No Mark"

Compared to David Haye, Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton....dear i say it..even Audley Harrison is still more well known........domestically.

Your saying it dose'nt get any media attention from Sky, it does not get any media attention or news updates from BBC, ITV, CHANNEL FIVE, SKY, BRAVO, DAVE.........i could go on and on.

Own up and face facts, that it has been somewhat of a failure. Don't you think if all the best Middle Weights in the 80's where fighting in a tournament, News Channels would be informing the general public about it..? who gives a **** weather their channel is not broadcasting it...........! They would inform viewers..!!

    No one cares anymore..!!!!

Coverage is so important when big events are happening in sport, and the SuperSixx gets none.

For what boxing needs in this day and age, its not doing it...!!!!!!!!!

David Haye vs "The Beast" was more of success than the Super Sixx.

    That's one man......

Why does every fight have to increase boxing presence in the public eye and media to be worthwhile. Everyone on this forum is always worried about what the public think just worry about enjoying it yourself.

Just because BBC ignore boxing doesn't mean we as the hardcore fanbase cannot still watch it. Its been good for boxing as we have seen 6 decent fights fights between top 10 Super Middleweights we probably would have seen a max of 2 otherwise.

As a boxing fan surley you thought that Abraham vs Taylor, Ward vs Kessler, Abraham vs Dirrell and Froch vs Kessler were entertaining fights. We would not have seen any of these if it wasn't for the Super 6.

So u slag off the state of boxing today yet offer no ways out of the current slum?

Like it or not, the super 6 has brought together the best boxers in the division! How can that be bad for boxing?

Its like claiming the champions league is bad for football even though it pits europe's best teams against each other. Radiculous statement!

Perhaps your right, boxing will survive not if we bring together the best boxers in the division and having unification fights, but if we match the 3rd best HW with the 42nd (boxRec)

It's given boxing fans the fights we really want to see. 6 of the finest super middleweghts in the world squaring up to each other, no ducking, no record padding, just great matchups.

If you think fights like Haye v Harrison are better for boxing, that's fine. Serious boxing fans know the Super Six is where the quality fights happen.
